Magma Finance is a decentralized, non-custodial liquidity protocol built on the Sui blockchain. The protocol introduces an AI-driven Adaptive Liquidity Market Maker (ALMM), designed to address the endemic challenges of capital inefficiency and liquidity fragmentation within the Sui Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystem. Core Architecture: The Adaptive Liquidity Market Maker (ALMM)

The ALMM architecture combines discretized liquidity provision and a dynamic fee structure to achieve high capital efficiency.

Discretized Liquidity Bins: The ALMM segments liquidity for a given asset pair into discrete “bins”. Each bin corresponds to a single, fixed price point. This structure enables near-zero slippage trade execution , as a swap can be executed with zero price slippage if the entire size of the trade is filled using the liquidity from a single, active bin. LPs can deploy capital using specific “liquidity shapes” or strategies , such as the Spot (Uniform) Strategy , the Curve (Bell-Shaped) Strategy , and the Bid-Ask (U-Shaped) Strategy.

Dynamic Fee Mechanism: The protocol incorporates a dynamic fee mechanism that algorithmically adjusts the Variable Fee component based on real-time market conditions, particularly volatility. This mechanism is designed to better compensate LPs for the increased risk of Impermanent Loss (IL) they face during volatile periods.

Permissionless Market Creation: The protocol includes a “Pair Factory” smart contract, enabling any user to permissionlessly create a new liquidity market for any asset pair on the Sui network.

The AI Strategy Layer is the primary innovation and strategic differentiator of Magma Finance. This off-chain computational engine functions as the protocol's “thinking layer,” automating the complex process of liquidity management.

Automated Rebalancing and Optimization: The AI consumes real-time market data to autonomously rebalance and optimize liquidity positions , triggering automated rebalancing of LP capital across the Discrete Price Bins to ensure funds remain active and in range. This continuous optimization cycle aims to ensure that the majority of the pool's Total Value Locked (TVL) is always actively earning fees.
