Shiba Inu Ecosystem Advances With Multiple Infrastructure Upgrades

The Shiba Inu ecosystem is in the middle of a broad infrastructure overhaul, with several moving parts advancing in quick succession across its layer-2 network and primary web properties.

Shibarium Reorg Resolved, RPC and Peers Updated

Mazrael, a longtime Shiba Inu community member, relayed an update attributed to developer Kaal Dhairya confirming that the Shibarium reorganization issue has been resolved.Mazrael noted that the remaining step is for DRPC to complete the same transition in the new environment.

In a September 15, 2026 update, Mazrael informed Shibarium node operators of a full peer rotation, with new Bor static-nodes and Heimdall persistent_peers published and the old set now obsolete. Mazrael noted the update was a full rotation rather than an addition, with the new IPs entirely different from the previous set.

The Shibarium RPC listing was also refreshed in the ethereum-lists/chains registry, with updated connection details made available on Chainlist. The update was necessitated after Shibarium migrated its public RPC in November 2025, and the entry had never been updated until now.Community member Mazrael initiated the correction by opening GitHub Pull Request 8699 with the proper network endpoint. Maintainers merged the request, resolving an outdated entry that remained unchanged during Shibarium's earlier RPC migration.

The Shibarium explorer Shibariumscan is also reporting an ongoing reindexing of the chain, with 53% of blocks currently indexed.Reindexing rebuilds the explorer's database by reading transaction and block information directly from the Shibarium blockchain. Although displayed records may remain temporarily incomplete, the process does not remove transactions from the underlying network.

Cloudflare Migration Extends Across Shiba Inu Web Properties

The official shib.io website and ShibaSwap moved to Cloudflare on September 12, 2026, while gaining IPv6 support.Shiba Inu's documentation platform at doc.shib.io also migrated from its former hosting environment during the infrastructure changes.Cloudflare provides content delivery, traffic management, and security services across websites serving users in different locations, and the migration may improve routing, availability, and compatibility for people accessing Shiba Inu's primary online resources.

Mazrael noted that the environment rebuild is "further along than it looks from the outside," indicating substantial work behind the scenes.The infrastructure work comes after Shibarium crossed a major usage threshold last year, surpassing one billion cumulative transactions in April 2025, with more than 194 million addresses recorded at the time.
